Vincentian formation through a skit and centers? Sounds like a blast! Attached are documents that were implemented during the VMY Rally in Los Angeles and the Vincentian Youth Leadership Program (VYLP) in the Summer of 2017. (Participation will be needed by VMY Leaders and Members.)
These are examples. Remember to adapt the activities to what will work at your site. What a fantastic way to learn about our Vincentian roots, and to gather in prayer and fellowship. If your VMY group will be having a retreat or rally, if time permits, maybe incorporate a Vincentian service project – blessing bags for the homeless, collecting school supplies for kids in shelters, making soup packets to sell as a fundraiser for an organization, the list goes on.
This document contains scripts for the welcoming of the event, a brief skit of the Vincentian Saints (which the VMY members dressed up as), and VMY prayers that you may need to review beforehand, if it will be included in your day.
In this document, you will see a decade of the rosary was said during closing prayer. If time permits, you may do a virtual rosary with the various international VMY groups. The following is the link: https://www.facebook.com/pg/JMVInternacional/videos/?ref=page_internal
Let’s have more fun! The following document reviews the four centers. Use it as a guideline and to review key points. Supplemental documents will be included on this page, depending on the center.
